Tottenham Library

This building places the book collection on the walls to create a grand reading hall. This space combines the collection space and the patron space as a comfortable interactive area. Shorter, waist height, shelves will be placed throughout this hall helping to separate it into distinct areas. This will create a total shelving capacity of over 1000’ distributed in spaces that double as work and reading areas as well as walking space.

This library addition creates a modern environment for the residents of Tottenham to interact socially in a comfortable space. It invites people of all age groups to participate in community activities and explore reading and learning. The library holds new innovative spaces for programs and activities to be held.
