The affordable eighteen unit (18) multi-residential development proposal involves the development of an existing green space lot, considered residual urban green space that was previously owned by the Town of Whitby and Region of Durham. The existing property through an initiative to create affordable housing within the Region of Durham will be developed into a three-storey, affordable multi-residential building. The proposed affordable development will consist of approximately 430.6m² of building area and 1,440.6m² (15,500ft²) of gross floor area, with a height of 9.3m.
