McKinny Sports Complex
BBA was selected as Project Architects/Structural Engineers and Landscape Architects to design and prepare working drawings for a new 3 pad arena for a successful submission as a Design/Build proposal.
The facility incorporates 3 NHL size pads, one to be exclusively used as a figure skating rink. An upper mezzanine level accommodates meeting rooms and dry training area.
BBA was responsible for full production of all aspects of design including Architectural, Structural, Site and Landscaping. Building features include: 3 NHL Rinks (1 used as Figure Skating Rink), main refrigeration plant with heat recovery system, Low ‘E’ ceiling insulation, Precast concrete ‘air-tight’ design, durable terrazzo flooring used throughout main entry lobby architecture.
